Attorney Profile
Andrea Harvey graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature. She is also a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor.
Andrea had an opportunity to gain exposure and experience to family law through clerking for a district court judge. There she had an opportunity to research and write briefs on several different family law cases. These cases ranged from divorce, child custody, child support enforcement and property division. Working for the Judge allowed Andrea an opportunity to gain an interest in family law and determine the focus of her practice. Additionally, she worked as a law clerk for the Prosecutors Office in Bentonville, Arkansas criminally prosecuting fathers who had failed to pay child support pursuant to a court order.
Andrea is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. She is a member of the non-profit board Jewell’s Gems- an organization dedicated to empowering young women. Andrea is also a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer. Through CASA she conducts investigations regarding issues within family law and makes recommendations to the court.
In addition to her law practice, Andrea is also an adjunct instructor at a University for Bachelors and Masters Students in the area of Business Law and Criminal Justice.
Andrea is driven, practical and has a keen attention to detail. She takes her clients cases seriously and seeks to find a solution to every legal problem.
